Under the Freedom of Information Act 2000, I would like to request the following information relating to social media activity by any London Fire Brigade employees, specifically the social media team and an individual known on TikTok and other platforms as @xxxxx. 1. Employment details: Please confirm whether the individual known as @xxxxx is currently employed by the London Fire Brigade, and if so, their current job title and if they are part of the social media team 2. Product promotion or endorsements: Please state whether the London Fire Brigade authorises, supports, or is affiliated in any way with the social media content created by @xxxxx that features or promotes commercial products or services. Please confirm whether this individual receives any form of payment, sponsorship, or benefit in kind (financial or otherwise) for promoting products or brands in connection with their role at the LFB. If so, please provide details of any agreements, approvals, or policies governing this activity, including whether the London Fire Brigade receives any payment, commission, or benefit from such promotions. 3. Policy clarification: Please provide a copy of the London Fire Brigade’s current policies or guidance relating to employees’ personal or professional use of social media, particularly where such use may involve commercial promotion or representation of the Brigade. 4. Public endorsement implication: Please confirm whether the London Fire Brigade considers that any products promoted by @xxxxx (or any other LFB employee) are endorsed or recommended by the organisation. If any parts of my request are unclear or likely to exceed the cost limit, please advise me as soon as possible so I can refine it.
