Request
I am writing to submit a formal request for information under the Environmental Information Regulations 2004 (EIR) and, alternatively, the Freedom of Information Act 2000. I am a residential leaseholder living directly adjacent to the ground-floor commercial premises at the property address detailed below. 71 - 73 Fernhead Road, London W9 3EY I am aware that the London Fire Brigade’s Fire Safety Regulation / Enforcement team has recently inspected the commercial restaurant at this location and issued a Deficiency Notice, a Letter of Fire Safety Matters, or an informal action plan regarding severely compromised fire compartmentation and other fire risks pertaining to this premises. Please provide copies of the following information held by the London Fire Brigade regarding these premises: 1. Copies of all Deficiency Notices, Letters of Fire Safety Matters, Action Plans, or informal safety warnings issued to the restaurant operator, business owner, or the freehold landlord within the last 12 months regarding structural fire separation or escape routes. 2. Any Fire Risk Assessment audits, inspection reports, or formal notes recorded by LFB officers during inspections of this building over the last year. 3. Any logged timelines or correspondence outlining the specific remediation deadlines imposed on the restaurant or freeholder to fix the compartmentation or other fire risk defects. Public Interest & Safety Disclosure: Because this matter involves a commercial kitchen operating directly beneath and adjacent to residential flats with compromised structural fire barriers, it poses an immediate risk to life. The public interest heavily favours disclosure under EIR Regulation 12(5)(a) (public safety) to protect the occupants.
