Please can you provided a copy of any training and info materials your service provides to staff to train them on the Equality Act 2010 and the protected characteristics.

All staff are required to complete mandatory Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) Training, which encompasses the provision of the Equality Act 2010, including the protected characteristics of religion or belief.

The Belonging, Inclusion and Wellbeing team have provided us with a copy of the EDI (equality, diversity and inclusion) literacy syllabus that is provided to staff before attending Level 1 training in DEI (Diversity, Equality and Inclusion) literacy which was offered to all staff across the organisation.

No documents are provided to delegates during the DEI training.  The training follows the literacy syllabus, which is delivered with a slide deck used reflects the syllabus however, the specific content of each session varies depending on the needs and experience of the delegates.  This means that while the core objectives remain consistent, the details and emphasis of each session may differ to ensure relevance and impact for participants.

Please provide any training and info materials provided to staff covering gender critical beliefs, covered by the religion or belief protected characteristics, post-Fortstater.

Please also provide any training and info materials provided to staff covering sex having always meant biological sex in law, per the Supreme Court's ruling.

In response to your second and third requests:

No specific training materials or internal communications have been issued solely in relation to gendercritical beliefs following the Forstater judgement. As with all public bodies, the London Fire Brigade is awaiting further government guidance on the practical implementation on this case law.

In the interim, all staff are required to complete mandatory Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) Training, which encompasses the provision of the Equality Act 2010, including the protected characteristics of religion or belief. This ensures that all employees receive a clear understanding of their responsibilities in upholding lawful freedom of belief and fostering a respectful and inclusive working environment (please see answer to the question above for syllabus detail).
