We are seeking confirmation of exact wording used to call out your crew, including if possible, audio.

Response

LFB attended a false alarm incident at Cavatina Point on 15 August 2026.

It is our view that the information provided to the LFB in the 999 call falls within Section 41 of the Freedom of Information Act 2000 (Information provided in confidence) because, when an individual makes a 999 call it is their reasonable expectation that the information has been provided to the LFB in confidence and would not be made public. Disclosure could deter members of the public from reporting emergencies, or safety concerns, in future if they believed their calls could be released to the world at large.
