Solicitors, have been instructed in a claim for a client who has been diagnosed with an asbestos related condition. We are making a Freedom of Information Request, pursuant to the Freedom of Information Act, to query whether the London Fire Brigade Service holds information on asbestos at the following location: • Mansfield House, 335 Western Avenue, Acton, W3 0TG We note that the building was built in either the 1960s or 1970s and has since been demolished. Our client worked at the building from 1982 to 1998 whilst it was leased by Courage Limited. The building was known as Courage Data Centre and was part of Imperial Brewing & Leisure Ltd, then later part of Scottish Courage following a merger with Scottish & Newcastle PLC / LTD. We would be grateful to receive any relevant information that the London Fire Brigade holds regarding asbestos at the above location, in particular when our client was working in the building from 1982 to 1998. This includes reports of asbestos submitted to the fire service, and incident reports of when the service responded to these submissions.
