Response
Please see my response to your requests in turn below:
1.) Any safety notices, inspections, warnings, or communications issued to Clarion Housing, Clarion Housing Association, or Merton Council relating to incident 148220-25072026.
To locate any safety notices, inspections, warnings, I asked our Fire Safety Regulatory department for any files they may hold for these premises. Our Fire Safety Regulatory department have let me know that they do not hold files for any of the houses between 22 to 40 Belgrave Walk, Mitcham, CR4 (this is not unexpected as, it is my understanding they are individual private homes and, as such, the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 would not apply).
To locate any communications, I conducted an eDiscovery search for any correspondence between LFB and Clarion Housing Association or Merton Council dated from 25 July 2026 (the date of the fire) and 26 July 2026 (the date of your request) that included the words "Belgrave Walk".
LFB received a list of Clarion Housing Group premises impacted by the fire incident on 26 July 2026. LFB sent an email to Merton Council (amongst other recipients) on the same date informing them of the fire.
2.) Any previous fire‑safety concerns, inspections, or enforcement actions recorded for 22–40 Belgrave Walk, including any relating to fire doors, compartmentation, or internal fire‑resistant walls.
Our Fire Safety Regulatory department have let me know that they do not hold files for any of the houses between 22 to 40 Belgrave Walk, Mitcham, CR4.
