1. Please provide the total number of vehicles in your operational fleet as of 31 March 2026 (single figure only) 2. Please provide the following (total aggregate figures only, not broken down by year or incident type): • The total number of incidents involving your service’s vehicles between 1 April 2021 and 31 March 2026 • The total amount spent on repairing vehicles as a result of these incidents over the time same time period (£ total figure only) • Of this total repair cost: o The total amount recovered through your own comprehensive insurance claims (£ total figure only, if applicable) o The total amount recovered through an uninsured loss recovery (ULR) programme (£ total figure only, if applicable) 3. Please confirm whether your organisation currently operates or uses a ULR programme (yes/no only) Definition of “incidents” For the purpose of this request, “incidents” refers to any event involving a vehicle in your fleet that results in damage requiring repair or maintenance, regardless of fault or location. This includes, but is not limited to: • All road traffic collisions • Damage sustained while stationary or parked (including depot sites) or found on inspection • Accident damage (e.g. reversing, loading/unloading, manoeuvring) • Vandalism or deliberate damage • Any other incident resulting in repair costs being incurred This should include all operational vehicles, including emergency response and support vehicles. Please include all such incidents where a repair cost was incurred, regardless of whether an insurance claim was made or liability was established. Definition of “uninsured loss recovery (ULR) programme” For the purpose of this request, an “uninsured loss recovery (ULR) programme” refers to any arrangement, internal process or third-party service used to recover costs from negligent third parties that are not covered by insurance, including recovery of vehicle repair costs, downtime or associated losses.
